Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to book my cabin through AEA in order to attend the Seminar?
No, but the cost of the seminar will increase.
7-day Cruises  seminar fee  $800
10-14 day Cruises  seminar fee $1000

Will AEA Cruises make arrangements for air transportation?
Yes, but it is optional and will be booked through the cruise line.
If you want to customize your air, choose specific flight times or a certain carrier, there
is an additional charge. The cruise line will charge a fee ($75 per person) PLUS any
difference in the fare and there will be a $20.00 per ticket surcharge from AEA
Cruises.

Will the seminar interfere with our ability to go ashore at any of the ports?
No, the lectures will be tailored to each itinerary so you will not miss any port times.
Therefore, you can book any shore excursions you would like.

Can I bring along family/friends even if they are not going to attend the
seminar?
Definitely.  Anyone you bring will get our group rates, or if you have received a past
passenger promotion from the cruise line you can “share the wealth” with your
traveling companions, even if they have never sailed before.

When will I know who the speaker will be and their topics?
The speakers are listed in our AOA ad as soon as they are chosen. You will know the
topics as soon as we receive course handouts from the speakers. Your course book
will be mailed to you prior to sailing.

If I bring my children are there activities for them, also is there a sitter
available while I’m at the seminar?
Activities for children vary by cruise line. Most ships do provide sitters for kids over
the age of three (must be potty trained). When traveling with kids, book early,
there is limited space for each age group.

Are all my meals and drinks included in the cruise fare?
Your cruise fare includes meals, your stateroom, on-board activities and
entertainment. Typically, your only extra expenses will be drinks, specialty
restaurants, and optional shore excursions. This may vary by cruise line.
